Our Dried Porcini Mushrooms are dehydrated without any preservatives; excellent in many recipes and to give your dishes the unmistakeable flavour of Porcini Mushrooms.
Suggestions and tips for cooking with our Dried Porcini Mushrooms: you can rehydrate our Porcini Mushrooms either by soaking them: a) in warm water, with a splash of lemon juice, for about half an hour; b) in cold water, for about two hours; c) in boiling water, for several minutes. In all these cases, the water can be filtered and then used as a condiment, to enhance your dishes and preparations with the aroma and flavour of porcini mushrooms. The mushrooms may also be cooked in a saucepan with stock or simply added, as a condiment, to risottos, pasta, gnocchi, polenta, meat or fish dishes, as well as for preparing flavoursome hors d’oeuvres. Alternatively, they can be used to prepare excellent porcini mushroom sauces for fresh or dried pasta. The suggested dose is 5g per person.
How to store our Dried Porcini Mushrooms: store in a cool dry place, well away from damp. If you wish to store dried porcini mushrooms for long periods it is advisable to deep freeze them.
