Suggestions and tips for preparing our Porcini Mushroom Polenta: our Instant Polenta is easy and quick to prepare. Preparation: in a pan, bring about 1.5 litres of water to the boil and season with salt; slowly pour in the polenta with porcini mushrooms and stir constantly with a wooden spoon or whisk for about 10/15 minutes, until the thickness is just right. Always make sure that no lumps are forming. You can adjust the consistency by adding more or less water; the suggested amount of water is 0.5 litres for the first portion and then 250 ml for every further portion. Before serving, add a drizzle of olive oil and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Depending on taste and local traditions, polenta can accompany game, fish, cheese, sausages (See recipe: Porcini Mushroom Polenta with Sausages), porcini mushrooms, or any other ingredient that catches your fancy.
The suggested dose is about 80g per person, so our 300g packet serves 4.
How to store our Porcini Mushroom Polenta: store in a cool dry place away from direct heat and sunlight and damp.
