Description Whole Black Summer Truffles
Whole Black Summer Truffles (tuber aestivum Vitt.) preserved in salt water (brine) with no added preservatives, are available in glass jars of various sizes and are excellent for making delicious truffle-based recipes.
Cooking with Whole Black Summer Truffles:
You can slice whole black summer truffles in brine directly on your dishes, like fresh truffles, or grind themand add to heated oil or butter and use as a flavoursome condiment in risottos, pasta dishes (fettuccine or tagliatelle), fried eggs, meat or fish dishes and hors d’oeuvres (see our suggested recipe). You can also use the preservation brine as a condiment, because it is imbued with the aroma of the truffles. The suggested serving dose is 15-20 g per person.
Storing Whole Black Summer Truffles:
Before opening the jar can be kept at room temperature; after opening refrigerate and use within a few days.
