Whole Premium Black Winter Truffles (tuber melanosporum) preserved in salt water (brine) with no added preservatives, are available in glass jars of various sizes and are an excellent substitute for Fresh Truffles.
Cooking with Whole Premium Black Winter Truffles: whole premium black truffles in brine can be sliced, ground or grated, in oil or butter, and used as a flavoursome condiment in risottos (see our suggested recipe), pasta dishes (fettuccine or tagliatelle), fried eggs, fish and bruschettas. You can also use the preservation brine as a condiment because it is imbued with the aroma of the truffles. The suggested serving dose is 15-20 g per person.
Storing Whole Premium Black Winter Truffles: before opening the jar can be kept at room temperature; after opening refrigerate and use within a few days.
Suggested recipe: Risotto with courgette flowers and black truffles
